Virtuous obedience is NOT “built in” to the created being; it is not constitutional. In fact, obedience requires me to choose in opposition to what my flesh (constitution) is demanding. When I choose to “go with the flow” of the desires of my flesh, it is no different than swimming in the same direction as a strong current in the ocean or a river. No “sufffering” is required, as I am in agreement with the flesh. It is only when I oppose the flesh, the strong current, that suffering is required on my part to choose to deny my flesh in order to OBEY God’s Word! Jesus Christ, as a 100% human LEARNED OBEDIENCE the same way that God requires of us; to deny our flesh and overcome it!
He who was tempted with all things possible for a human to be tempted by, and overcame without sinning, is NOW available to indwell us by His Spirit and enable us to overcome as He did!
Will YOU Choose This Day to overcome by the faith of Him?
